The Only Bike I Need? Joyful and Responsive

I've had this bike for a short time, but have racked up quite a few miles and races on it quickly, and continue to be impressed by everything about it. I've raced it at several gravel races and at Belgian Waffle Ride, and it's quickly become my favorite ride. My road bike stands un-used in a corner. Here's what's awesome about the G1: Ride quality: the G1 feels like an excellent hardtail—it climbs responsively, but the seat/chainstays move nicely behind you, allowing the bike to track perfectly over sketchy/rocky/technical terrain. Even though it has no suspension, it feels like it does. The bike is stiff where you want it to be and compliant elsewhere. Fit specifics: the G1 is a "tall" bike, which you can see from the big head tube. It puts you in a slightly more upright position that feels a bit more like cyclocross, which, for ultra-endurance races, is a good thing. Comfort = power = speed, and the G1 was sensibly designed to make you comfortable AND fast. Build spec: arriving out of the box with HED Ardennes LT wheels and Zipp Service Course bars/seatpost/stem? Wowza. If price is what you pay and value is what you get, this bike has a ton of value. Complement that with the ultra-reliable SRAM Force CX1 drivetrain, and you have the cycling industry's equivalent of a luxury automobile that is also reliable all the time. My one very small quibble about the spec is that the Continental tires that come with it are so-so, and not really designed for gravel. I swapped them out for some IRC Boken 40mm tires, and that fits much more nicely. In short, this is my go-to bike for, well, everything, now. It's equally at home on rocky fire roads, dusty singletrack, and pavement. I've logged close to 2000 miles on it in two months, and look forward to many many more miles. Quiver Killer - Fast and Balanced

I continue to be impressed by this bike the more and more I ride it. From delivery to ride quality to regular maintenance it has been nothing but positive experiences. The bike was almost completely out of the box; I put the seat post in, attached the handlebars to the stem, double checked the headset, installed the front wheel, threw some pedals on, and was ready to roll. The gears were already properly indexed as well as everything was tightened to spec with a torque wrench. Since then I have converted the wheels to tubeless which were already taped up, and swapped the stock tires for some 43mm Panaracer GravelKing SK's. The bike handles exceptionally well on and off-road, and seems to be compliant and stiff in all the right places for a fast and balanced ride. Of the other gravel bikes I've ridden, this leans more to the side of race-y geometry rather than true endurance, but it seems to do well for the longer days as well. The threaded BB is much appreciated from a maintenance standpoint - especially considering gravel conditions submit the BB to quite a bit of dust and mud. My only complaint is a fair bit of toe overlap on the front wheel. I'm riding the 58cm frame with 43mm tires, and have size 46 shoes with the cleat all the way back towards my arch. In the grand scheme of things it's a small issue for me, and I'm sure I'll adapt, but definitely something I had to keep reminding myself of starting and stopping to avoid eating it. The bike passed with flying colors on my first big ride on it last week. Can't wait to spend more quality time in the saddle. https://www.strava.com/activities/2295328109

    Oh the Places You'll Go

After years on the road I was looking for new adventures, new challenges, and a figurative change of pace. I've had my G.1 for about two months and with no exaggeration: this bike brought the joy back into cycling for me. Assembly was a breeze as the bike comes almost fully put together: those with limited mechanical knowledge can still get this bike ready to roll. The transition from road to dirt can be nervous at times with the uncertainty of surface, but I continue to be impressed with the bike's handling as I test the limits - through mtb trails, creek crossings, unkempt fire roads and general wilderness. I have put in multiple 7+ hour days on it so I can attest to comfort over ultra-distance which in turn has allowed me to gain confidence. All that being said, it is also remarkably fast. I can show up for my club ride and roll with the fast group on the road, even with beefy gravel tires. If you're looking for a fast, comfortable bike that will take you on epic adventures and reinstate you passion for two wheels, look no further.
