    Great bike

It’s a solid gravel bike. It’s a good build works right out of the box. I did not like the seat or grip tape but that is a personal preference. So one big issue I had was with the tiers, so mine had little pin holes in them that when I set it up tubeless there was sealant coming out all over the tire they were so small they sealed right up but still just a odd thing and that is why I gave it 4 starts.

Quality Issues and Customer Service Needed!

I received the G.1 as an extremely generous Christmas gift and was impressed with the packaging and presentation of the bike. Upon assembly and through the next 50 miles of riding I experienced a persistent noise of the front spokes striking the brake caliper when I raised out of the seat and shifted my weight forward.
Upon measurement using SRAM's technical guidance the spoke to brake clearance was well under the recommended tolerance, so I contacted both Viathon and Mercury to inform them with pictures and measurements and inquire as to possible paths towards resolution. No feedback was received from either in spite of repeated efforts to reach a resource over the course of 2 weeks.
So I contacted the local Velofix service provider, (who was excellent to work with), and he assessed, agreed with my finding and suggested that I replace the Mercury wheels with D-Swiss G1800's, (changing the front was required, tightening the front axle to the tension recommended by the Velofix service provider resulted in constant spoke rub on the brake caliper), I chose to replace both wheels to keep the look of the brand new bike and so the $500+ changeout resolved the issue and maintained the aesthetics of what is otherwise an outstanding bike. If I had only replaced the front, the fix would have been a bit over $200.
My Velofix service provider also tried to contact Viathon as well, with no luck. So, there are some troubling gaps in the experience of acquiring this bike, it could be great and rate 5 stars if the team would be responsive to a pretty significant issue, however the lack of ANY correspondence and follow up is a warning to prospective buyers, be prepared to address any issues on your own...and hence the 3 star rating.
